Lazy Saturdays in Cental Park

I know I haven’t been updating my blog often enough for everyone to follow what is going on with me so let me catch you up. I have been actively searching for an apartment in NYC. Now when I saw apartment what I mean is a roommate situation because in Manhattan unless you make really good money you don’t live alone (well unless you want to live in mid-town near times square, which I don’t want to do). Day after day I spend hours upon hours searching craigslist and sending emails to anyone and everyone offering a room. My total sent-email count is at about 60 or 65 and I have received roughly 12-15 responses. I’ve gone to look the rooms of those that responded and I have seen all kinds of weird and unusual apartment share situations. I could write a book about the experience I’ve had thus far.

Anyhow after a week of looking at various roommate situations and literally being in competition with 30-50 other people whom were all fighting for the same rooms I became rather frustrated which started to become apparent.

While I was looking for apartments Diana was struggling with items of her own. She has a few papers due for class and needed to get a lot of research and brainstorming done. By the end of the week she was tired of looking at her computer screen and had also reached a similar level of frustration. Seeing that we both needed a break from our computers and the electronic world we decided to head to Central park on Saturday.

Oh yes, we both worked hard as we stretched out the blanket over the grass at Sheep’s Meadow.

We spent the entire afternoon laying in the sun, reading magazines and enjoying the company of each other.

I really don’t have much else to say, we didn’t do anything else that day
