Coffee before the Rush

7 am; I stopped by a local(?) coffee shop to satisfy my geeky urges before I continued my eastward journey. I ordered an Oregon Chai (Yes, they had Oregon Chai and its freakin\' great!), a crossiant and after troubleshooting the wireless networks with the employees I, and 3 other patrons, got online. The 4 of us had our laptops in our hand, coffee/chai in the other and we were feverishly typing away. Responding to emails, updating blogs and pouring over google maps planning out our trips.

I have realized something about the mid-west area. Nobody actually lives here everyone is passing through, either travelling east to west or west to east. hhhmm.. I can't imagine why (aah, gawd I can't wait to get out of the middle of the country and back to civilization.....OH. did I say that out loud?)

Next stop: Rushmore, Bad lands and, of course, Wall Drug!!! Schweet, Wall Drug!!!
